Three in a row for Amy Stoney and Skeets Whizard!

Amy Stoney, 22, and the 2009 AQHA gelding Skeets Whizard, a.k.a. Wilson, marked a scorching 223.5 at the 2018 Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show to earn their third-in-a-row World Title in Amateur Reining. Amy and Wilson were draw 7 out of 15 in a deep set of some of the toughest NRHA reining horses and riders the industry has to offer. Defending her 2016 and 2017 World Championship titles, Amy and Wilson laid down a run most Non Pros and Amateurs only dream of. Besting the field by 4 full points, Amy and Wilson achieved an unprecedented accomplishment, and brought home the gold for the 3rd time in Amy's first three years out of the youth and into the Amateur. Wilson's earnings are now a few dollars shy of $75,000 and all of it but $5,000 has been earned with Amy in the saddle. This cute gelding has never had an open trainer step in the stirrup since his purchase by the Stoneys in June, 2013. This is an extraordinary horse & rider team and we look forward to many future successes.
